Akoya Hotel & Spa, in the coastal town of Saline-les-Bains (French overseas Reunion Island), stands out for its chic luxury and exotic design.
An elegant setting has been created that blends into the idyllic surroundings, based on an interior design project by Borella Art Design.
The hotel boasts a total of 104 spacious sophisticated rooms and suites. Christine and Nicola Borella, from Borella Art Design, used each of the different ethnic groups on the island as the source of inspiration for different parts of the project, integrating the landscape into the interiors.
In the communal areas, like the hotel’s spacious lobby, corridors and restaurant dining rooms, through-body porcelain tiles by URBATEK were used, due to their design, resistance and easy care.
In the wellness facilities, this type of tile was again chosen to ensure visual continuity, thanks to the different finishes and their capacity to suit the requirements of each particular area.
