High design is more than just a passing trend. Today it is seen as an added value of increasing importance to tourists. The icing on the cake in any tourism trip is a stay at a truly charming hotel, harmoniously conceived to fit in with the background setting.
Functional materials and finishes are fundamental in more innovative hotel interior design projects, helping to keep living spaces spotless and up to standard. With this as one of the design project’s premises, Urbatek tiles were chosen for Hotel Vertigo, a hotel set in the heart of Dijon (France), thanks to the guaranteed high performance of this ultra-resistant, low-maintenance ceramic tile range whose wall and floor tile collections feature models able to suit all possible requirements, including exacting aesthetic needs.
Carminati Design Studio revamped the historic building in Haussmann style in order to bring it into line with hotel guests’ present demand for functionality, innovation and exclusive distinction. As a result, it now boasts 42 rooms and suites offering an exquisite combination of original classic architecture and avant-garde design.
For the project, the following high-performance floor tile models were used: stone-effect Pure beige tiles (containing high purity minerals), the polished Town White model and Concrete Black timber tiles. The final outcome are rooms with an avant-garde visual appeal that does not clash in any way with the essence and charm of the idyllic French countryside that forms the backdrop to Hotel Vertigo.
