The latest addition to Martin’s Hotels represents a genuine architectural metamorphosis. The challenge was to transform a late 19th century church into one of the most prestigious hotels in Mechelen (Belgium).
Martin’s Patershof stands in the old quarter of a city midway between Brussels and Amberes. This latest architectural project focused on conserving the integrity of the building and revamping it technologically. With this in mind, through-body tiles by URBATEK, a company belonging to Porcelanosa Grupo, were used.
In communal parts of the building, 60x60cm tiles from Urbatek’s Town White collection were used in a Nature (matt) finish. These tiles are conceived to withstand heavy traffic, combining a high mechanical performance with eye-catching visual appeal.
The hotel rooms are simply amazing, like the rest of the building. They conserve the original architectural features, spectacular stain glass and huge windows, ensuring spacious, light-filled interiors. This singular hotel is capable of taking everyone’s breath away with its remarkable design, high standards and service.
