Banana Island, an artificial island measuring 1.63 Km2 in the lagoon of Lagos, Nigeria, connected by road to the island of Ikoyi, and created as a luxury residential zone divided into 536 plots, measuring between 1000 and 4000 square metres.
On this site, Mr. Femi Fowora selected the investment company Kinnear Investments Limited, together with the building company FO.AB, based in the UK but with previous experience on similar projects in the area, to build a series of luxury seafront apartments equipped with every imaginable service and amenity, including underground electrical and water systems, satellite telecommunications networks and private landing stages.
Bayo Adewale, a local architect and consultant for Arctive Consultants Ltd, was responsible for the planning and construction of the apartments.
The materials used in the project include items from the 8 brands of the Porcelanosa Group. URBATEK was the company chosen to supply the floor tiles for the main rooms, specifically the Extreme White Polished model from the Town collection and the White Nature model from the Avenue collection in 59.6×59.6 cm format. Avenue skirting tiles were also used in 9×59.6 cm format.
Other collections from the Porcelanosa Group used in the apartments include Crystal Moka mosaics in 20×33.3 cm format, SANDSTONE BEIGE tiles in 45×90 cm format, skirting tiles from the same collection in 10×59.6 cm format, and CARPATIA NEGRO floor tiles in 31.6×20 and 44×66 cm formats, all from the Venis brand, and used on the outdoor terraces.
