North-American design studio Tangent Designs LLC opted for the technical properties and eye-catching appeal of Urbatek high-performance tiles for a refurbishment project in a modern home in the US city of Alexandria, Virginia.
The home’s owners wanted to give the bathroom a whole new facelift, lending it a more up-to-date look, using top-quality materials that guarantee the comfort and resistance to damp or moisture so necessary in a bathroom. These are qualities synonymous with the Town collection by Urbatek.
Thus Tangent Designs LLC redesigned the whole bathroom, combining square 59.6×59.6cm Town Acero Nature through-body porcelain floor tiles with paler 29.7×59.6cm Town Niquel tiles on some of the room’s walls.
As for the shower, thanks to the low water absorption rate of Urbatek through-body porcelain tiles, the same floor covering could be used to create the base of the shower, fitting a concealed drain with stylish end results, instead of using a standard shower tray. In this case, 29.7×29.7cm tiles from special Town mosaicseries in an Acero Nature finish were used, featuring 5x5cm chips.
By using Urbatek through-body porcelain tiles, a practical bathroom can be achieved that offers full comfort to users, both on a day-to-day basis and when it comes to more relaxing moments.
